On peak time is from 7am to Midnight, and Off peak time is from Midnight to 7am Australian Eastern Standard Daylight saving time.

NOTE: Bundled pricing is only valid to full service (local and long distance) phone customers.
In the event you move your long distance to another provider, there is a $10 per month additional charge.

The data rates available to a particular ADSL customer are affected by many factors, and some by quite significant amounts.

These include:
The length of copper wire from the exchange.
The number of, and type of, other services being used over copper pairs in the same cable by other customers.
The configuration and line quality of the copper wire pair between the exchange and the customer’s premises.
Electrical interference from outside sources (such as electric motors).
The configuration of the copper wiring within the customer’s premises.
The software configuration and application on the customer’s computer (in particular how it uses the uplink back to the exchange) .
The customer’s hardware or modem.
The capacity of, load on, and access data rate of the destination host computer which the customer is accessing.

Due to these factors listed above, the actual speed you receive on your internet service can vary from the maximum stated speed in your chosen internet plan. We do not guarantee that you will always receive speeds close to the maximum stated speed.

How does 05Communications provide its Broadband service to you?

  • 05Communications provides you with an internet service through an arrangement with a wholesale provider.
  • Due to this arrangement, some of the factors that affect speed are outside our control and we are unable to conduct network tests to provide you with details of the actual speeds you will receive when using our internet services.
  • In general, we will only offer you a speed that can be realistically achieved on your line.
  • For example, we would not sell you our 8000K Extreme broadband plan if your line is only capable of 256K speeds.

ADSL2+ phone bundles do not support complex services such as Line Hunt, FaxStream or Indial.

If you have a complex Value Added Service(VAS) and wish to port you will need to have the complex VAS removed prior to submitting the porting request.

If you try and switch your home telephone away from 05Com in the future, you may lose your number.

Exceptions to this is if you port away to selected carriers with bi-lateral agreements.

These currently include Telstra, Primus and Optus.
